Here’s to a Positive 2026!
We’re really looking forward to another year at Activ Physiotherapy. We can hardly believe that we are now in our 19th year of supporting the communities of South Sheffield and the Hope Valley — thank you for being part of that journey!
This year, we’re excited to build on the success of our services. Activ Kids, managed by Rob, will continue to support the sports stars of the future. Suvarna and George run Activ Women, our popular women’s health service, and are hoping to introduce some exciting new treatments for women dealing with pregnancy-related issues and menopause support.
Our shockwave service will also continue to provide effective treatment for soft-tissue injuries, with even more physiotherapy research evidence emerging over the past year to support its benefits.
Our more recent team members, Mignone and Nikki, will be expanding our Activ Home services, with visits to care homes and sheltered accommodation. So, if you have a family member who may benefit from physiotherapy or exercise rehabilitation, please let us know. Mignone, Nikki, and their assistant Amy are all eager to help.
We’re also aiming to offer more services to local businesses this year. Our occupational health service, Activ Work, has already developed a link with Barnsley Council. We're hopeful that we’ll be working more closely with the Sheffield business community too. Mignone is going to be very busy!
Our sports massage service remains as popular as ever. Debbie, Katie, and Karen are rushed off their feet, and we’re pleased to also offer specialist physiotherapy sports massage with Maddie at our Totley clinic.
In addition, George is looking to expand her TMD/jaw physiotherapy service by developing closer links with local dentists, maxilla-facial surgeons and the team at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital.
When it comes to treating and aiding patient recovery, the whole team is raring to go! We’re proud to make a difference to people’s lives through our musculoskeletal therapy, gym rehabilitation, acupuncture and cupping services.
We're exploring the possibility of launching a community exercise rehabilitation service (Activ Rehab ), so keep an eye out for updates. We will be building on the success of our charity walk in aid of Mountain Rescue, so we’ll let you know more about this year’s chosen charity (and event) in due course.
We would all like to wish Sujay the very best of luck in his new chapter of his physiotherapy career, as he has accepted a full-time role at a clinic in Sheffield. He was a much-loved member of our team and will be missed by patients and colleagues alike.
Our 'InterActiv' newsletter has been a real success, and we’ll continue to keep you informed with clinic news, as well as interesting conditions and treatments we offer. If you’d like to receive the newsletter, please let our lovely, hardworking admin team know.
Your feedback is valued, so please feel free to email us at info@activphysiotherapy.co.uk with any comments or suggestions about the newsletter or the care you’ve received.
Thank you for your continued support and for being such an amazing community of patients. You are truly the reason we love doing what we do! Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and active 2026.
Warm wishes,
Andy and Georgina
Co-directors
