Reasons for home visits
To help provide exercise, advice and rehabilitation if you have reduced mobility, confidence or balance.
Rehabilitating you back to your previous level following surgery or a fall.
Treatment where the specific problem is in your home. This could include climbing up and down your stairs, getting in and out of the bath or even moving around your garden.
Treatment if you are in residential or nursing care and require help with mobility, balance or general day-to-day duties.
Musculoskeletal problems such as back pain or osteoarthritis, where leaving the home is difficult when you used to manage well before.
How home visits work
Home visits are only available to patients living in the S17 postcode or within a 10-minute drive of the clinic (upon discussion).
When we visit, our physiotherapist shall be wearing an official Activ Physiotherapy uniform and name badge.
The physiotherapist will start by asking about your problem including a selection of tests so they can provide you with the best treatment and exercises.
The physiotherapist shall bring any equipment they need for the session with them.
Any further equipment needed, such as sticks or rails, can be purchased by you and we can help with the order.
How to book a home visit appointment & what’s the cost?
Home visit appointments are up to 1 hour long and cost £95 for the 1 hour Initial Assessment followed by appointments of 1 hour (£90) or 45 minutes (£80). You can pay on the day or we can ring you at a time to suit you to take secure payment over the phone.
