Christmas Escape Room Fun!
Our Activ Christmas night out proved to be exciting and fun as we visited Escape Hunt Sheffield and we all met for festive drinks beforehand at Hideaway – which, for some of us, proved challenging to find!
At the city centre venue, near the Light Cinema, we quickly immersed ourselves into the tasks of cracking codes, deciphering clues and unleashing our puzzle-solving skills in our allocated Escape Room from which we had to 'escape' within an hour.
Teams were split into two with some staff entering the Aladdin and the Magic Vault escape room and others tackling the Dracula escape room. Some of us grew up watching The Krypton Factor and The Crystal Maze, and it did not matter one jot if we excelled at The 1% Club each week if we could not remember key names of panto characters or Transylvanian folklore! The Aladdin team managed to escape with just 43 seconds to go. Alas, the Dracula team were not so fast – not even a lucky garlic garland could help them. Fortunately, they did manage to escape before sunrise!
Both Andy and George, who led each team, agreed that the night out was 'brilliant fun and a great team-building exercise'. Big thanks to Jordan and other Escape Hunt organisers for making the event run smoothly, and keeping our post-game drinks topped up!
