Activ Physiotherapy is based in Synergy, a natural health and fitness centre in Totley, south of Sheffield. It is easily accessible from other areas of Sheffield by car, bus or train and is close to Chesterfield and Derbyshire.
The clinic has changing facilities with shower, access to a fully fitted gym and possesses the latest technology in electrotherapy. This helps enable a suitable treatment provided to the highest possible standard.
Activ Physiotherapy is registered with many major insurance companies including BUPA and Norwich Union. Treatment costs can also be claimed back through the Westfield Health Scheme.

Andrew Okwera
Andrew has 10 years experience as a chartered physiotherapist following qualification from Leeds Metropolitan University. In this time he has achieved a high level of expertise and maintained a good reputation with the public and fellow professionals alike.
He has achieved qualifications in Acupuncture, Spinal Manipulation and recently gained the diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine from the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. He has also received recognition for his professionalism by gaining an "NHS Award of Excellence" in the category of "Innovation in an area of service delivery". He is registered with the Health Professions Council, as well as a member of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice("Physio First").
As lead Physiotherapist for the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Team, he maintains a high level of expertise dealing with the challenging field of professional sports. He has also developed good links with respected medical specialists through his 5 years working at the private BMI Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. He is a keen sportsman and plays football for a non-league team, enjoys music and socialising with his friends.
